Ingredients
8 oz hot Italian sausage
12 oz pasta (Orecchiette or Penne)
6 cups (16 oz) fresh broccoli
5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
kosher salt and pepper

Instructions
Bring a large pot of water (add salt) to a boil.
Meanwhile, heat a large skillet with oil and brown sausage and, breaking it up as it cooks (3 to 4 minutes). Add garlic.
Once the water has reached a boil, add the pasta and cook according to pasta directions for al dente mine 1 minute. Pasta will finish cooking in skillet.
Add broccoli to skillet, with chicken broth. Place a lid on the skillet and steam the broccoli for 4 to 5 minutes.
Add pasta, butter, and half the Parmesan. Sprinkle with crush red pepper until satisfied with spice level.
Plate and add remaining Parmesan cheese.
